Hepatitis

• Usually no detectable sonographic abnormality
• May occasionally see increased echogenicity of the portal triads leading to a starry sky appearance
• Not very sensitive or specific
• May also see marked GB wall thickening, GB contraction, and periportal lymphadenopathy
