Parathyroid studies
Pertechnetate follow-up scan¶
- Done if there's question on the sestamibi, can be more sensitive
- Can eyeball planars and MIPs or can side by side with the sestamibi
- Go to the sestamibi scan, take the transaxial, and view as PET/CT which should bring it to the top left
- Pull the CT (series 2) to bottom left corner
- Pull the pertechnetate transaxial to the top right
- Align the transaxials to an area where you are confident there isn't abnormality first then link the two
