Spine
Central canal¶
- Rule of thumb:
- >12mm is normal for any spinal level
- 8-12 is mild stenosis
- 4-8 is moderate
- 0-4 is severe
- However generally 10 mm is the more commonly taught threshold
MR¶
- Use T1 sagittal to look at neural foramen
- Though fat is bright on the T2 as well, an extruded disc will also be bright and might be mistaken for fat
